Curfew had already been imposed in many violence-affected areas on Friday. At least three policemen and two youths were injured in clashes between people from two different communities.<\/p>\n<p>The tension spread in Banswara following a dispute over a religious place in the town around 10 am. In the next three hours, people indulged in arson, torched vehicles and fired guns. People even put fire to PLG cylinders, causing explosions.<\/p>\n<p>The district administration and police reacted too slow to contain the tension which spread throughout the town from Khantwara area.<\/p>\n<p>A woman police inspector was seriously injured in the violence.<\/p>\n<p>Groups of youths roamed the town armed with sticks and swords.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have made elaborate security arrangements to restore law and order. Curfew has been imposed.
