JAIPUR: A leopard entered Jaipur’s Kanota Castle hotel on Thursday morning. Tourists quickly evacuated the hotel as the leopard roamed around. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
After an hour and a half, the leopard was tranquilized by experts. The incident began when dogs in the hotel started barking uncontrollably, alarming a tourist who spotted the wild cat. The hotel owner immediately contacted the forest department for assistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During this time, all guests left the premises while the leopard found its way into a staff room where it caused some chaos. The door to that room was closed from outside to contain the animal until help arrived. Finally, relief came when authorities tranquilized and captured the leopard, bringing comfort to both staff and guests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bassi Ranger Prithviraj Meena stated that they received information about a leopard entering Kanota Castle Hotel earlier that morning. Both their team and Jaipur Zoo’s team promptly responded to assist with rescue efforts. Thankfully, no one was harmed during this operation. Currently, officials have taken the tranquilized leopard to Nahargarh Rescue Centre for first aid before releasing it back into its natural habitat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Bassi Ranger also mentioned that there is frequent wildlife activity near Kanota area due to nearby forests like Amagarh and Galata where leopards often search for food or water sources.
