JAIPUR: The Sanganer police in Jaipur discovered the body of a local youth, identified as Hanuman Meena, in the Dravyavati River on Thursday, three days after he was abducted. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meena was allegedly kidnapped on May 22, and a ransom demand of Rs 1 crore was made to his family via a WhatsApp video call, with threats to his life if they sought external help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The tragic news of Meena’s death was conveyed to his family by the local police. His remains are currently kept at the SMS Hospital mortuary, awaiting autopsy by the medical board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Upon recovery, the police found Meena’s body tied and stuffed inside a gunny bag in the Dravyavati River. His hands and feet were tied, and his mouth was taped with medical tape. The Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team was immediately summoned for an examination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meena’s relatives had reported the kidnapping to the Sanganer police station after the abductors made contact on May 22. The miscreants set a deadline for the ransom payment, stating the family had only until May 25 to meet their demands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The victim, Hanuman Meena, was an employee of Saras Dairy in Malviya Nagar. He was abducted en route to his office, and his father reported him missing to the police later that evening. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The abductors subsequently made contact via a video call from Meena’s number, instructing the family to check a WhatsApp message where Meena was shown bound with rope. The family was once again confronted with the chilling demand of Rs 1 crore for his release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Sanganer police has taken two young men into custody for interrogation in connection with the case. Following the autopsy, Meena’s body will be handed over to his grief-stricken family who are still in shock and calling for swift justice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The miscreants had made another video call at 10 pm on the day of the kidnapping, showing Meena in a state of undress and lying down in a raw vest. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
