JAIPUR: In a major operation carried out this morning, the enforcement division of the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) took decisive action against three unauthorized multi-story buildings in the city. Notably, the operation included the sealing of six flats that were under construction within one of these buildings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All three structures were found to be erected on land plots located within residential colonies, apparently without any formal consent from the JDA and in violation of existing building regulations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Head of JDA’s Enforcement Wing, Raghuveer Saini, revealed that initial action was enforced against an unapproved scheme in Kalyan Nagar’s colony no. 5 on VKI Sikar Road. An illegal commercial edifice, encompassing a basement and four storeys, was built on plot number 24 (covering 158 sq. yards) without requisite permissions from the JDA. The building was served a notice on April 29th, to which no satisfactory response was received, resulting in the property being sealed today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The JDA’s attention then shifted to Shiv Enclave, a JDA-designated settlement colony in Zone 8. Here, a three-storey commercial complex was under construction on a merged land mass of two residential plots (264 sqm) without formal JDA approval. The developer was issued a notice under sections 32-33 on April 8th, directing an immediate halt to construction and removal of the illegal structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Despite an appeal to the JDA’s tribunal court by the developer, the verdict favored the JDA, enabling its team to proceed with sealing the building today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a third incident, the JDA team sealed a four-storey building being illegally constructed with zero setbacks on plot number 178 (occupying 267 sq. yards) in Pashupatinath Nagar, located in Zone 9. The construction of six flats was ongoing at the site. An earlier notice dated April 16th had directed the builder to stop work. However, construction activities resumed after a brief pause, leading to the sealing of the building today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
