JAIPUR: A businessman from Jaipur ended his own life due to the extreme pressure he faced from moneylenders. The 59-year-old man first took poison and then cut the veins in both his hands. He later died at SMS Hospital while receiving treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event happened in Harishchandra Marg Chandpole, which is within the area of the Kotwali police station. A suicide note was found near Rajesh Goyal’s body, explaining his huge debts that grew from an initial loan of Rs 70 lakh to a massive Rs 1.5 crore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After the post-mortem on Thursday, the grieving family took the body to the Kotwali police station, asking for justice. The police filed a case based on the names in the suicide note, which helped calm the family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
SI Dashrath said Goyal had a medical shop in Chaura Rasta and lived with his wife, Manju Devi, and sons Chetanya and Chandresh Goyal at Harish Chandra Marg. On Wednesday evening, Goyal went to his home’s terrace, took poison, and cut his veins with a blade. His upset wife found him suffering and called their son for help. Goyal was taken to SMS Hospital, where he was declared dead at around 9:30 pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the suicide note, Goyal shared his sadness with the moneylenders, naming those he borrowed money from for his business. He said they forced him to give blank stamps and checks. Even after repaying Rs 1.5 crore, the lenders still wanted another Rs 1.5 crore.
