JAIPUR: Poornima Group of Colleges (PGC) recently organized a three-day annual sports, cultural, and technical fest named ‘Aarohan Poornima 2023.’ in Jaipur The fest included live performances by popular artists such as Bollywood composer duo Salim-Sulaiman, singer Papon, and actor Vikalp Mehta, giving students a chance to enjoy and learn from these performances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
MKM Shah, Director General of PGC, inaugurated the fest as the chief guest by lighting the torch. On the first day, Papon kicked off the cultural evening with the song ‘Tu Jo Mila’ and performed other popular songs such as ‘Mhare Hivde Me Lagi,’ ‘Pehla Nasha,’ ‘Ek Ajnabi Haseena Se,’ ‘Lag Ja Gale,’ ‘Ajeeb Dastaan Hai Ye,’ and the Rajasthani song ‘Baisa Ra Bira.’ Papon described Poornima as a musical college after witnessing the enthusiasm of the students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Vikalp Mehta, famously known as junior Akshay Kumar, entertained the students with his comedic performance, dancing to various songs like ‘Main Khiladi Tu Anari’ and ‘Main Tera Hero.’ He also invited six students to mimic different artists on stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
DJ Trapper X presented mashups of new and old songs on various beats during the DJ Night on the second day, which was thoroughly enjoyed by the PCE and PIET students. The fest concluded with a live performance by Salim-Sulaiman, who enthralled the students with renditions of many Bollywood songs, starting with the song ‘Qurbaan Hua.’ Singer Raj Pandit and Vipul Mehta also gave an impressive performance on the song ‘Zindadili.’<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The fest also included an Air Show organized by the Udaan Aeromodelling Club of Poornima Group, showcasing the aerobatics of drones. In the technical category, students drove cars made by the Hygriva Club of Poornima Group in the Go-kart competition, while in the Tech Quiz Competition, various technology-related questions were asked to the students. Other competitions included Flash Mob, Jamming, Sell It Up, F1 Open Racing, and You Laugh You Lose, while KBC rewarded students and faculty members with coupons for answering tricky questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the cultural category, students presented attractive western and traditional dances in both group and solo categories. In the fashion walk, engineering students walked the ramp wearing designer outfits, while in the sports category, matches were held for volleyball, badminton, chess, carrom, box cricket, long jump, shot put, tug of war, race, kabaddi, and table tennis, with students putting in a lot of hard work to win.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
