They included Dr. Nupur Bhati who is the wife of sitting high court judge Pushpendra Bhati. It is for the first time that two couples would serve as judges in a high court. Justice Mahendra Goel and his wife Justice Shubha Mehta are already posted in the High Court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The union ministry of law and justice appointed nine judges. The notification regarding the appointment was issued by the ministry on Friday and the swearing-in ceremony took place on Monday.\u00a0 Three of the judges are from the advocate quota while the remaining six are from the judicial officer quota.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After these appointments, the Rajasthan high court has 35 judges. Fifteen posts are still vacant. The high court now has three women judges &#8211; Shubha Mehta, Rekha Borana and Nupur Bhati. Chief Justice Pankaj Mitthal administered the oath to all the newly appointed judges of the Rajasthan High Court at Jodhpur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ganesh Ram Meena, Anil Kumar Upman from Jaipur and Dr. Nupur Bhati from Jodhpur have been appointed from advocate quota, while Rajendra Prakash Soni, Ashok Kumar Jain, Yogendra Kumar Purohit, Bhuvan Goyal, Praveer Bhatnagar and Ashutosh Kumar have been appointed from judicial officer quota.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ganesh Ram Meena was the Additional Advocate General (AAG) of the state government before being appointed as the judge of the high court. In 2020, Anil Kumar Upman represented SOG as Special Public Prosecutor in a case related to the horse-trading of MLAs.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It is for the first
