Found in areas of high temperature and high rainfall.<\/li><li><strong>Black Cotton Soil &#8211; <\/strong>Best soil for cotton cultivation. Most of the Deccan is occupied by Black soil.<\/li><li><strong>Red &amp; Yellow Soil &#8211; <\/strong>Seen mainly in low rainfall areas and also known as the Omnibus group.<\/li><li><strong>Arid or Desert Soil &#8211; <\/strong>Seen under arid and semi-arid conditions. Deposited mainly by wind activities.<\/li><li><strong>Peaty and Marshy Soil &#8211; <\/strong>Areas of heavy rainfall and high humidity.
