Woman judge, daughter killed in accident in Sikar’s Laxmangarh

Jaipur: In a tragic mishap, a woman judicial magistrate and her two-and-a half-year old daughter were killed when the car they were travelling in collided with a police patrolling jeep in Sikar’s Laxmangarh area on Wednesday.

The judge’s husband and four policemen travelling in the patrolling jeep were also injured in the mishap, police said.

The accident took place on Bypass Road near Sethon Ki Kothi village in Laxmangarh area.

The woman, Rajdeep Kaur was deputed as judicial magistrate  in Churu’s Taranagar. She was in Maruti Swift car with her husband Devendra Singh and daughter Namrita. The family was coming to Jaipur from Churu.

A highway patrolling jeep collided head-on with the car. Namrita died on the spot. Magistrate Rajdeep Kaur, her husband and four policemen were injured in the mishap.

A police team rushed to the spot and with the help of local residents and commuters, pulled the victims out of the vehicles.

Sikar add SP Dr Tejpal Singh and senior police officers also reached the spot.

The injured were rushed to a government hospital in Sikar where doctors declared the judge dead.

Those injured including Rajdeep and four policemen, identified as ASI Pappu Singh and constables Sabbeer and Bhanwar Lal are still undergoing treatment.
