Woman CA from Jaipur arrested for GST fraud

Jaipur: Jodhpur State Tax Department has arrested a woman CA, identified as Paridhi Jain, for allegedly preparing bogus GST bills using documents of her clients and other people. The officials said that she evaded GST to the tune of nearly Rs 15-20 crore by preparing bogus bills of about Rs 90 crore.
The officials said she in connivance with another CA from Jaipur, identified as Gaurav Maheshwari, created 26 bogus firms. Gaurav is already behind bars in connection with GST evasion cases. There are at least seven FIRs registered against him with various police stations in Jodhpur.
Gaurav is a resident of Shankar Nagar in Jaipur. There were complaints against Paridhi and Gaurav in Vaishali Nagar police station also. Some complaints have been registered through court istgasa in Nagaur also.
“They used PAN cards, Aadhar Cards and other documents of people including their clients and friends to create 26 bogus firms and prepare bills to the tune of nearly Rs 90 crore. They evaded GST of about Rs 15-20 crore,” said a senior officer.
Paridhi was produced in a court in Jodhpur. The court remanded her in judicial custody. Officials said that further investigation against the gang is going on.
