Jaipur: A 26-year-old woman architect committed suicide by hanging himself from ceiling fan in her house in the city’s Karani Vihar area. Her body was found hanging on Thursday morning. The police recovered a suicide note stating that she was committing suicide as she had been unemployed for a long time and was struggling financially.

The woman, identified as Yogita Sharma, was a resident of Suman Vihar. She lived with her father Tarashankar Sharma and other family members.

“Yogita had dinner and went to her bedroom to sleep. Her mother knocked on her door and found no response. She peeked into the room from a window and found her hanging. It was such a shock to her that she fell to the ground unconscious,” said a police officer.

The family members informed the police. A police team rushed to her house and got the body down. They took the body to the mortuary of a hospital for a postmortem examination.

The police recovered a suicide note in which she reportedly stated that she was taking her life due to long period of unemployment and financial problems.

“All my friends have landed jobs, but I couldn’t. Nobody should be bothered for my decision to end my life,” she wrote.

The family members were trying to marry her off, a police officer said. The police said that the girl might have been into a relationship also.

“An investigation has been launched,” said the officer.
