Weekend curfew lifted in Rajasthan; businesses allowed to open till 8 pm

Jaipur: The Rajasthan government has further eased lockdown restrictions with Covid-19 infection rate on a decline. The government has lifted the weekend curfew restrictions, so the markets are allowed to open throughout the week till 8 pm. Earlier, commercial activities were not allowed on Sundays. Multiplexes and theatres will also be able to operate with the condition that only those who have received at least one vaccine dose will be allowed entry. School, colleges, and coaching institutes will continue to remain closed.

The lockdown restrictions were eased in the latest guidelines issued by the state home department on Saturday. The guidelines came into effect from 5 am on Sunday. A maximum of 25 guests are allowed in weddings organized from 6 am to 8 pm at wedding gardens, halls, and hotels. SDMs can give special permission to allow up to 50 guests. The number of workers including caterers can not exceed 15. All should have received at least one vaccine dose.

Outdoor and indoor games will be allowed for those who have received at least one dose.

The ban on social and political gatherings and rallies continues. A wedding can be organized in marriage gardens with restrictions on the maximum number of guests and workers.

The night curfew will come into effect at 11 pm. Earlier, it was 9 pm.

Multiplexes can operate with a 50% capacity from 9 am to 8 pm. Religious places can also open from 6 am to 8 pm.

Those who are travelling to Rajasthan from other states don’t need to show Covid-19 negative report if they have received at least one dose.

Auditoriums and exhibitions are also allowed from 6 am to 8 pm with 50% capacity.
