Voting for Lok Sabha polls tomorrow; highest number of voters in Jaipur

Jaipur: The voting for the fifth phase of Lok Sabha elections 2019 will take place in Rajasthan on May 5. The 12 constituencies of the state including Jaipur will go to polls. The voting will start from 7 am and end at 6 pm. A total of 134 candidates including 118 males and 16 females are in the fray in the 12 constituencies.
The voting will take place in Jaipur, Sriganganagar, Bikaner, Churu, Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Jaipur rural, Jaipur, Alwar, Bharatpur, Karauli –Dholpur, Dausa and Nagaur.
Over 2.30 crore voters will exercise their franchise in the constituencies that will go to poll in the fifth phase in Rajasthan. In fourth phase, the voting percentage in the state was 61.80.
There are 1550 sensitive polling booths in these constituencies. The election department will keep an eye on the voting at these booths with webcasting. The highest number of sensitive booths is in Dausa Lok Sabha constituency. As many as 145 booths have been termed sensitive in Jaipur, while 141 in Jaipur rural.
The election department has made elaborate security arrangements with the help of para-military forces and the local police to ensure peaceful voting.
The election campaigning for the Lok Sabha elections 2019 has come to an end in Jaipur. The candidates are now visiting voters from door to door asking for votes.
