JAIPUR: Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar expressed his distress over individuals who are raising questions about the state of Indian democracy while abroad.

He was delivering a speech at the Malviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT) in Jaipur on Friday.

Dhankhar emphasized that these individuals failed to acknowledge the vitality of India’s democratic system.

Vice President Dhankhar highlighted India’s unique position as the only country operating entirely on democratic principles.

From local village panchayats to district councils, state assemblies, and the national parliament, Indian governance functions solely through democratic processes, he said. Dhankhar asserted that anyone criticizing the Indian democracy from foreign shores is displaying a lack of respect for nationalism.

Commenting on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent visit to the United States, the Vice President applauded the Indian leader’s impactful presence on the global stage, emphasizing India’s newfound parity with global leadership.

During his address, Dhankhar offered valuable advice to students, urging them to shun stress and embrace new ideas.

He encouraged the students to compete only with themselves, reminding them that success in life comes through implementation and persistence. Stressing the importance of a drug-free society, the Vice President stated that India’s progress is contingent on distancing oneself from harmful substances.

Expressing concern over incidents of public property destruction and the burning of police vehicles, Dhankhar questioned the lack of action taken against those responsible.

He called for the prevention of such situations from escalating, emphasizing the need for swift and decisive action.

Highlighting the role of students in effecting change, Dhankhar urged them to create impactful stories and wield the power of positive thinking on social media platforms.

He encouraged students to translate their ideas into action and emphasized the importance of embracing failure as a part of the learning process.

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar’s thought-provoking address provided insight into the vitality of Indian democracy, encouraging citizens to embrace its principles and work towards a prosperous and united nation.
