At Kiran Path-situated vaccination centre, nearly 100 people in the age group of 18-45 years were vaccinated.

The vaccination drive for this age group was to be launched in 11 districts of the state, but centres in only 3 districts – Jaipur, Jodhpur, and Ajmer, received the doses. In the remaining eight districts, the drive couldn’t be launched on Saturday.

Chief minister Ashok Gehlot launched the Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme. He said on this occasion that he would spend the entire state budget if required to fight Covid-19.

“Someone dying of the lack of resources can’t be tolerated. We will bear the burden of nearly Rs 3,000 crore to make vaccination free for all. There is no need to throng vaccination centres. People will be vaccinated based on the availability of doses,” said chief minister Gehlot.
