Udaipur: Rajasthan ACB arrests school principal for taking bribe

According to ACB officials, the agency received a complaint against school principal Gamer Lal. A milk supplier who supplies milk to the school was asked to pay a commission for payment.

Jaipur: Rajasthan anti-corruption bureau (ACB) on Tuesday arrested a school principal in Tekri area of Udaipur after he was allegedly caught taking a bribe of Rs 8,500. The school principal was allegedly demanding bribe from a milk supplier. The ACB trap was laid under the supervision of Udaipur ACB’s DySP Rajeev Joshi.

According to ACB officials, the agency received a complaint against school principal Gamer Lal. A milk supplier who supplies milk to the school was asked to pay a commission for payment. The milk supplier approached the ACB following which a complaint was registered against Gamer Lal.

The ACB officials verified the complaint and when it was found to be genuine, they laid a trap.
Gamer Lal was allegedly caught red-handed taking Rs 8,500 from the milk supplier. He was taken into custody and a case against him was registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act.

ACB officials said that searches were being carried out at the office and other places belonging to the accused school principal. Further investigation is going off, the officer said.
