Udaipur: Government employees to pay fine for using smart phones during office time

Jaipur: The employees of water resources department in Udaipur will have to pay fine if they were found carrying smart phones during office time. According to an order issued by the superintendent engineer (SE) Hemant Pandia, a leave will declared for employees who are found using smart phones and they will have to pay Rs 500 penalty. The order were issued as most of the employees used to waste time on social media sites.
Not only employees, but people coming to the water resources office in Udaipur have also been asked not to carry smart phones. People have been asked to deposit their smart phone at the entrance of the office and get it back when they leave.
“Smart phones were affecting the productivity. Most employees were found wasting time on social media websites, so the decision to ban smart phones was taken,” said SE Hemant Pandia.
