Jaipur: The police have lodged an FIR against the owner and operators of a hotel in Udaipur for illegal stay of at least 11 foreign tourists. As per rules, the hotels have to fill up a C-form with information about the stay of foreign tourists and submit it to the police.
The hotel management violated this law following which the FIR was registered under relevant sections of the Foreigners Act, 1946. Most of the tourists are the UK and USA nationals.
Namaste Hotel is situated in Ghataghar area of Udaipur. According to preliminary reports, 14 tourists were staying in the hotel, but the hotel management submitted C-Form for only four of them.
