Two coaching institute faculty member killed, 2 injured in Kota road accident

Jaipur: Two faculty members of Career Point in Kota – died and two others were seriously injured after a truck rammed into their car near Cable Nagar Bridge on Thursday morning.

Police rushed to the spot after getting the information about the tragic road accident. The victims were pulled out of the car and taken to a nearby hospital. Two victims died at the hospital while two others are undergoing treatment.

The two deceased have been identified as Azharuddin Ansari and Aashish Gautam. The two injured victims undergoing treatment are Adil Qureshi and Lalit Srivastav.

According to the police, an overspeed truck was coming to Kota from Jhalawar on Thursday morning while the four faculty members of Career Point were on their way to the coaching center located near Aalania Temple.

Suddenly, the truck lost its balance and rammed into the victims’ car. The truck dragged the car for about 100 feet on the road. The truck driver managed to flee away from the spot, added police. 

All the four men in the car were seriously injured.

The family members of the deceased were informed and the bodies were handed over to the after the post mortem examination.

Grief gripped the students and faculty members of the coaching institute and family members after the death of Aashish and Azharuddin. Students turned up at the hospital to console the family.

The accident led to a heavy traffic jam on the road which was cleared after a few hours.

Police have launched a search for truck driver after registering a case against him for rash and negligent driving. Further investigation is on.
