Rameshwar Dudi murder conspiracy hatched in Bikaner Jail; 2 arrested from Haryana

Jaipur: Bikaner police has exposed a conspiracy to murder former leader of opposition in Rajasthan assembly and ex-MP from Bikaner Rameshwar Dudi. The police on Monday arrested two men from Haryana. One of them belonged to Bikaner. They have allegedly confessed to the murder conspiracy and told the police that they were planning to shoot Dudi to death.
According to the police, the accused, identified as Shyamsundar Bishnoi and Devendra Singh alias Beda alias Dev were arrested in Ellenabad area of Haryana. Shyam Sundar belongs to Bikaner, while Dev hails from Haryana. Two guns, eight cartridges and a bike were seized from their possession.
Shyam Sundar told the police that he had a case of rape registered against him with Bikaner police. Dudi was supporting the rape survivor and helping her family in the case so he wanted to kill him. The arrested duo conducted recee of Dudi’s house and other places belonging to him.
“Shyam Sundar had paid Rs 3.5 lakh to a criminal lodged in a Patna jail for six guns and 550 cartridges. Shyam Sundar has a total of six cases registered against him with Bikaner and Haryana police. On June 2, he and his aides murdered one Sandeep Saini in Jhunjhunu. Other cases are pertaining to theft, rape and Arms Act,” said a senior police officer.
The conspiracy to murder Dudi was hatched in Bikaner Jail. According to preliminary reports, Shyam Sundar met some known criminals in Bikaner Jail including Shankar Lal Jat. His accomplices in Bikaner Jail were to arrange for guns for Dudi’s assassination.
“Shyam Sundar and Dev are being brought to Bikaner from Sirsa. They will be interrogated. We will arrest others who were involved in the murder conspiracy,” said the officer.
