Truck rams into police vehicle, kills driver and injures 2 policemen in Jaipur

Jaipur: An overspeeding truck rammed into a stationed police control room vehicle near Gopalpura flyover, killing its driver and seriously injuring an assistant sub inspector and a constable of Bajaj Nagar police station.
The police control room vehicle, Chetak, was parked near Gopalpura flyover in the morning.
The trolla was overspeeding and suddenly lost control, a police officer said, adding that it rammed into Chetak.
The collision was so intense that Chetak overturned several times.
Chetak driver Sriram Meena sustained serious injuries and died while undergoing treatment at a hospital.
Two other policemen were also injured in the mishap.
The truck driver, Vishnu Meena, fled from the spot.
He, however, surrendered before police in Kanota police station later.
Meena is a resident of Dausa.
The police are investigating if he was under the influence of some intoxicating substance.
He has been booked for rash driving and causing death due to negligence.
The body of Sriram Meena was handed over to his family members after a postmortem examination.
