Truck catches fire after accident on Jaipur-Ajmer National Highway, 3 dead

The traffic on the Jaipur- Ajmer highway was diverted for a few hours while the firefighters were trying to control the fire.

Jaipur: Three people died in the road mishap on the Jaipur-Ajmer National Highway on Thursday. A truck carrying chemicals caught fire after colliding with another truck. Two of the victims were burnt alive in the mishap. Locals informed the police about the incident. The police force with fire tenders and firefighters reached the spot.

A large number of people gathered on the spot after the accident. The truck carrying explosive materials immediately caught fire after the accident. The incident happened on Jaipur-Ajmer National Highway.

The traffic on the Jaipur- Ajmer highway was diverted for a few hours while the firefighters were trying to control the fire.

According to the police, the fire broke out around noon. Locals informed the police control room following which fire department was put on alert. Firefighters were rushed to the spot and fire tenders were pressed into service.

A similar incident happened on Wednesday near Nasirabad Pulia on Kishangarh highway. Two motorcyclists died after a truck collided with a parked truck on the road.

After the collision, the truck caught fire and two people going on motorcycles nearby got trapped in the fire and were burned alive.
