Jaipur: Domestic and international tourists will now be able to make their Jaipur visit memorable. The Rajasthan tourism department is planning to open souvenir shops at all the museums where tourists will find gift items that represent the culture and heritage of the city. They include puppets, T-shirts and coins.

“As part of a pilot project, we began a souvenir shop at one of the museums. We got tremendous response. We are now planning to open such shops at all monuments and museums,” said a tourism department officer.

He said that the shops will be operational from the International Tourism Day on September 27.

“Museums which have enough space will have these gift shops indoors, while mobile carts will be used to sell souvenir where there is a lack of space,” said the officer.

Officials claimed that tourists will get gift items for a reasonable price at these shops.
