Tigress -T-63 gives birth to two cubs at Ranthambore National park

Jaipur: In good news to wildlife lovers, Tigress – T-63 – has given birth to two cubs in Ranthambore Tiger Reserve in Rajasthan.

CCTVs installed at the reserve spotted Tigress T-63 with one of her two cubs near Odhi-Kho area of Lahpur range in Ranthambore National Park. Forest officials said that tigress T-63 littered two cubs recently.

Two pictures were captured in the trap cameras. – one cub was walking with the tigress while the other was following her. The new litter will further boost the population of tigers in Ranthambore.

A senior official of Ranthambore National park situated in Sawai Madhopur of Rajasthan said that the tigress gave birth to the cubs in Odhi-Kho area of Lahpur range. CCTVs – installed in the forest to monitor the activities of big cats – caught footages of T-63 with her cubs. The human intervention is very little in the forest area where the tigress gave birth to these cubs.

Security arrangements were stepped up in and around the territory of the tigress. The forest department officials are trying to trace and monitor the movement of cubs.

According to preliminary reports, the two cubs are healthy and a team of experts is keeping a close tab on them.

Tigress T-63 is the daughter of Tigress T-19 also known as Krishna.
