Jaipur: Pratapgarh has become the first district in Rajasthan where all people aged 18 years and above have been fully vaccinated. They have received both doses of the vaccines, according to the state medical and health department. It is a big achievement for the government as it will inspire the people of other districts to get themselves vaccinated.

The Rajasthan medical and health department had set a target of administrating nearly 6.52 lakh vaccination doses in Pratapgarh. Against this target, 6.64 lakh doses have been administered.

Dr. Raghuraj Singh, Director, Vaccination Project in the Directorate of Health, Rajasthan said a total of nearly 5.15 crore people are to be vaccinated in the 18+ age group. We have vaccinated nearly 3.86 crore people. These people have received both the doses.

Apart from Pratapgarh, 100% of the population in Jaipur, Bundi, Udaipur, Sikar, Chittorgarh, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Alwar and Hanumangarh have received at least one dose of the vaccine. Jalore district is currently lagging behind, where 84% of the people of the target group have not received the first dose of the vaccine.
