SMS Medical College in Jaipur to have Emergency Life Support Skill Centre

Jaipur: The Emergency Life Support Skill Centre will soon be introduced at Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Medical College in Jaipur and five other places across Rajasthan.
This centre at SMS Medical College aims at training medical staff on how to save lives of the patients in emergency cases by providing real time medical attention. The cost of this project is estimated to be around Rs 1.5 crore. The medical and health department has given permission to open six life skill centres in the state.
Doctors, nurses, paramedical staff, ambulance personnel and other medical professionals will get the training on many skills including how to utilize and employ the emergency life support machines to provide instant medical aid to the patients in emergency situations.
According to Kalicharan Saraf, Medical and Health Minister, the government has decided to open six life support skills centres and allotted Rs 1.5 crore to SMS Medical College for setting it up in Jaipur. The location for the centre has been decided and the work will start soon.
Apart from Jaipur, similar centres will be opened in Jawahar Lal Nehru (JLN) Medical College of Ajmer, Dr. SN Medical College of Jodhpur, Rabindra Nath (RNT) Medical College of Udaipur, Sardar Patel (SP) Medical College of Bikaner and Kota Medical College.
