Jaipur: Palace on Wheels tickets worth Rs 20 crore booked at Great Indian Travel Bazaar

Some British tourists wanted to travel in stream engine hauled Palace on Wheels, like it used to be in earlier times. The RTDC officials took the tourist’ request to railway board and the Palace on Wheels with the engine began its journey on Wednesday.

It is for the first time that a group of tourists has booked all the cabins of Palace on Wheels. POW has received its first ever charter booking. The group will travel to places including Jaipur, Sawai Madhopur, Chittorgarh Udaipur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Bharatpur and Agra over a week. The tour started from Delhi and will end in Delhi.

PoW has already departed from Jaipur for Delhi, where the luxurious heritage journey for tourists will start. For the first time, tourists will be able to experience royal marriages and big corporate meetings. For this two new POW sections - Marriage on Wheels and Conference on Wheels – have been introduced.

Two day event of RDTM held from July 20-22, receiving 150 buyers. The opening ceremony of RDTM 2018 was kicked off on Saturday with strip cutting by principal secretary, tourism Kuldeep Ranka and president of FHTR, Bhim Singh at the BM Birla Auditorium, Jaipur.
