Jaipur: The dead body of an ex-Rajasthan University student leader – Abhishek Shekhawat – son of a senior police officer – was found under mysterious circumstances in Harmama area near Jaipur on Sunday.
There was a Maruti Swift car parked near the body. The police recovered some poisonous substance from the car, leading to suspicion that Abhishek may have committed suicide. Abhishek was an advocate.
There were reports that a suicide note was also recovered; however, its content was yet to be disclosed. The police officials said that an investigation has been launched to rule out a possibility of murder or any other foul play.

The body was recovered from Bagwada village near Daulatpura Toll Plaza in Harmara area in the morning. Some locals spotted the body in an agriculture farm on the roadside and informed the police. A police team from Harmara police station rushed to the spot. According to preliminary reports, some celphos pills – an agriculture pesticide – were found from the car parked nearby. The body was put in the mortuary of a government hospital and informed the family members.
The victim is the son of Ram Singh, an additional SP deputed in RAC, according to reports. Senior police officers are on the spot. A forensic examination was also conducted.
