Subhangana death: Husband arrested for abetting suicide

Jaipur: The Jaipur police have arrested Rajkumar Salwani for inciting 40-year-old chairman of Jasoda Group of Institutes Subhangana to commit suicide. He was allegedly taken into custody from a hotel on Jaipur-Ajmer National Highway. While the family members of the victim are alleging that Subhangana was murdered, the police are learn to have arrested Rajkumar on charges of abetting her suicide.
According to preliminary reports, Rajkumar was staying at Choudhary Hotel situated between Dudu and Mahala. The police made the arrest after completitng their investigation into the mysterious death. Subhangana was found hanging at the couple’s house in the posh C-Scheme locality in August.
There were reports that the police had served notices twice requiring Rajkumar to be present before the investigation officer, but he didn’t comply. When the police contacted him on his mobile phone, they found it switched off.
The police had quizzed her husband Rajkumar Salwani in the presence of his lawyer for nearly 12 hours. A case of abatement to suicide was registered against the husband after Subhaganga took the extreme step. The police were trying to find out details regarding Rajkumar’s movements immediately before and after the murder. They also studied the phone call records and WhatsApp chats between the two.
While Subhangana’s father Prem Surana who is the chairman of Deepshikha Group of Colleges has alleged that Subhangana was murdered at the behest of her husband, Rajkumar alleged that it was a ploy to grab his and her wife’s properties worth crores of rupees.
