St Anselm’s School: Vice principal arrested for sending obscene messages to girl student

Jaipur: The vice principal of St Anselm’s School in Alwar was taken into custody by the police on Thursday for allegedly sending obscene messages to a class 9 girl and forcing her to change her religion.

The family members had demonstrated at the school and then lodged an FIR against the vice principal under various sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act (POCSO) on Wednesday.

According to preliminary reports, the accused vice principal fled to Dausa in a bus after he came to know about the police case. He called up his friend in Alwar from Dausa. The police traced the call and a team was immediately rushed to Dausa. He was arrested from Lalsot Road. He was brought to Alwar where he is being interrogated. Sources said that the man was planning to flee to his native village via Jaipur.

In the FIR, the family members alleged that the vice president molested the girl and sent WhatsApp message to her several times in the past. He allegedly sent another message around 1 am on Wednesday. The girl finally told the family members about the harassment following which the FIR was registered against him.

In one of the messages, the accused wrote – ‘Your husband is always waiting for you’.

After reading these messages, the girl’s father and brother reached the school and roughed up the accused man. He then disappeared from the school. A team from Aravali Vihar police station in Alwar reached the school and lodged an FIR. The family members have provided the police with WhatsApp chat history.
