Jordan Murder

Jaipur: Rajasthan special operations group (SOG) has launched an investigation into the murder of Jordan alias Vinod Coudhary on suspicion of the involvement of an interstate gang. The Rajasthan police will also seek assistance from the Punjab police which gunned down Vicky Gondar in an encounter in January this year. Sources didn’t rule out the possibility that the assailants were from Punjab.

Jordan was shot dead by three men while he was exercising at Metallica Gym & Spa on Meera Marg in Sriganganagar around 5.30 am on Tuesday.

A postmortem examination has revealed that 16 bullets pierced his body. Six bullet injuries were found on his chest, three each on head and stomach and four on his hands.

The police suspect involvement of Lorence Bishnoi gang in the shootout, sources said.

An SOG team led by ASP Sanjeev Bhatnagar has been constituted to investigate the case. The team will coordinate with Sriganganagar police and their counterparts in Punjab to identify the shooters.

Police carried out raids in search of two criminals Ankit Bhadu and Sampat Nehra.

The victim used to reach the gym very early in the morning even before it opened. So he was exercising alone when the shooters came.

The gates of the gym can be opened only after a bio-metric attendance. The shooters tried their thumb impression on the bio metric machine, but couldn’t open the gates. So they took an employee of the gym at gunpoint and forced him to open the gates.

The incident was caught on a CCTV installed in the gym’s reception area.

The victim was a resident of Purani Abadi area in Sri Ganganagar. Police have launched an investigation and said that the shooters will be identified soon.
