Son of SHO Vishnu Dutt Bishnoi commit suicides, 15 months after father ends life

Jaipur: Nearly 15 months after SHO of Rajgarh police station in Churu district ended his life, his 17-year-old son also committed suicide by hanging. The police are yet to determine what caused the teenager to take the extreme step, but the possibility that he was depressed over his father’s demise is not being ruled out. A CBI probe is undergoing into the suicide of SHO Bishnoi.

Lakshya Bishnoi was a class 12 student. He lived with his mother and sister in Khaturia Colony of Bikaner. After attending online classes, he went into his room around 7 pm on Tuesday. He hanged himself in the attached bathroom of his room. When he didn’t come out of his room for dinner, his mother and sister checked on him. They found him hanging. They rushed to a hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.

The police have not recovered a suicide note.

SHO Vishnu Dutt had committed suicide recently by hanging himself at his residential quarters situated on the police station premises in May last year. Two suicide notes were recovered in which he didn’t implicate anyone. However, a WhatsApp chat between him and his acquaintance revealed that he was under stress due to ‘dirty politics’. The BJP workers accused a Congress legislator of pressurizing the police officer, causing him to take the extreme step.
