Jaipur: The Special Operations Group (SOG) of Rajasthan police on Wednesday arrested key accused in Staff Selection Commission cheating case. The accused identified as Vinay Kumar Singh was arrested from New Delhi’s Munirka area.

Vinay Kumar Singh studied engineering in electronic communications from West Bengal and provided impersonators for all leading recruitment examinations. He is a native of Bihar who ran the syndicate from New Delhi.

He was arrested after the SOG on Monday had arrested four of his accomplices from the city.

Pramod Kumar Yadav (25), a BCA graduate, Vinay Kumar Gupta (24) and Avnish Kumar (26) all natives of Bihar and one Chetram Meena were arrested on Monday morning. While Meena was the local aide of Singh, the other three were impersonators.

The SOG said that apart from SSC, the gang had also attempted to cheat in recently held constable examination but failed due to heavy security arrangements. “The search for their other gang members is still on, the main master mind is currently off the hook,” an official said.
