SMS Hospital to set up State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization
It will enable hospital to accept organ donation without seeking a prior permission from the National Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization (NOTTO), New Delhi.

Jaipur: To encourage organ donation and monitor the donation process, SMS Hospital will set up a State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization (SOTTO).
It will enable hospital to accept organ donation without seeking a prior permission from the National Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization (NOTTO), New Delhi. It will also keep a record of people who commit to organ donation and also maintain a list of recipients to streamline the process.
The center is being opened under a scheme of the central government to have similar centers at major hospitals across the country.
SMS Hospital officials said that the center will increase transparency in organ donation.
“We will be able to organize an organ transplant immediately as the entire process work will work in a very coordinated way,” said an official.
