Sirohi accident: Seven killed after car collides with truck
The accident occurred near Pasolia. A police team was rushed to the spot after the mishap. The victims were being rushed to a hospital, sources said.

Jaipur: Seven members of a family were killed when a car collided with a truck near Posalia in Sirohi district on Friday. According to preliminary reports, the victims were from Jodhpur. Sources said that the car lost control, hit the divider and then rammed into the truck approaching from opposite direction.
The victims included three men, two women and two children. They were identified as Praveen Kumar Joshi (30), Praveen’s five year old daughter Saroj, Kailash Kumar (30), Kailash’s wife Rekha (26), Sumitra (26), Sumitra’s daughter Sanavi (2) and Khushboo (24). It is believed that the victims were on their way to Bharuch in Gujarat.
The accident occurred on Sirohi – Pasolia in Shivganj area of Sirohi district. A police team was rushed to the spot after the mishap. The victims were being rushed to a hospital, sources said. It is suspected that the driver took a nap behind wheels and lost control of the vehicle.
“After preliminary investigation, it came up that the car lost balance probably because it was overspeeding. It hit the road divider and jumped over it. A truck was approaching from the opposite direction. The collision was so intense that the car was completely damaged,” said a police officer.
He added the priority was to get medical help to the victims who got stuck in the car. “The victims are believed to be from Gujarat. Further investigation is going on,” said the officer.
It’s been raining heavily in many parts of the state since Thursday evening, leading to road accidents. A bus carrying members of Kota Cricket Under-19 team collided with a truck in Bikaner. At least 14 people including some players were injured in the mishap.
Six people lost their lives due to incessant rains, four of them in Alwar alone.
