Sikar: Student jumps off 6th floor of his exam center, dies

Police suspects that the student has committed suicide under exam stress. He feared that he would not be able to perform well in the Physics paper due to which he ended his life out of stress after leaving the exam hall.

Jaipur: A class 12th student identified as Sandeep committed suicide by jumping off the sixth floor of his exam center building in Sikar allegedly due to exam stress on Monday. The incident took place near Income Tax office of Todinagar in Sikar.

Panic gripped the school authorities and students when they saw a student lying in a pool of blood on the road outside the exam center around noon.

DSP Saurabh Tiwari along with police teams rushed to the spot. Police found a permission letter in the pocket of the deceased student.

The deceased student has been identified as Sandeep, a resident of Chainpura area of Jaipur. He was a student of the RBSE board and pursuing Science- Maths (PCM) stream.

According to the officials, RBSE board’s Physics paper started from 8:30 am and ended at 11:45 am on March 11. The deceased student appeared for Physics paper and committed suicide after leaving from the exam hall.

The family members of the student have been informed. His body has been taken to the hospital’s mortuary and will be handed over to the family members after the post mortem examination.

The reason for the student’s suicide is yet to be ascertained. Police officials will record statements of his family members, friends, relatives, and school authorities.
