Sikar: 5 members of a family killed in accident
Five members of family including three children were killed in an accident when the bike they were riding on was hit by a Rajasthan Roadways bus near Kanwat town in Sikar district on Tuesday.

Jaipur: Five members of family including three children were killed in an accident when the bike they were riding on was hit by a Rajasthan Roadways bus near Kanwat town in Sikar district on Tuesday. A huge crowd of villagers gathered after the news of the accident spread out in the area. According to preliminary reports, the five died on the spot. The police are trying to identify the victims.
The accident occurred at Neem Ka Thana Mod in Thoi police station area around 10.30am.
“The five victims were on a bike. Three of them were children. It seems the bike lost balance when a Rajasthan Roadways bus took a sudden turn. All the victims sustained serious head injuries. A couple of them were run over by the bus,” said a police officer.
The victims were rushed to a nearby hospital by the police. The doctors declared them brought dead.
The police have registered an FIR against the bus driver who escaped from the spot after the mishap.
The bodies have been put in the mortuary of a hospital.
“We are trying to identify the victims. It appears that they are from one family and belonged to a nearby village. The bodies will be handed over to the family members after a postmortem examination. Further investigation is continuing,” said the officer.
