Shocking murder: Man kills 4-year-old daughter as sacrifice to Allah

Jaipur: A man, identified as Nawab Ali Qureshi, slit the throat of her 4-year-old daughter after waking her from sleep in Pipar area of Jodhpur district in Rajasthan. After the cops arrested him for the murder of the girl on Saturday, he made a shocking revelation about his motive. He told the police that he wanted to sacrifice to Allah something dearest to her during the holy month of Ramadan.

The girl, Rizwana, was at the house of her mother’s parents. Nawab brought her to his house on Thursday. He then took her on a visit to the markets and bought her chocolates, fruit, toys and sweets. He, his wife Shabana and the daughter were sleeping on the rooftop of the house.

When Shabana woke up around 3 am on Thursday, she didn’t find the girl who was sleeping next to her. She started looking for her and found her in one of the rooms in the house. Shabana almost fainted on the sight as the girl was lying in a pool of blood and her throat had been slit with a sharp-edged weapon. She immediately informed the police.

“It was obvious after preliminary investigation that some family member was involved in the heinous murder. We rounded up the girl’s father and maternal uncle and interrogated them throughout the day on Thursday. Nawab finally confessed to the crime,” said a police officer.

Nawab allegedly told the police that he brought Rizwana downstairs and woke her up. He then recited some verses before finally slitting her throat with a knife.

After murdering the girl, Nawab changed his blood-stained cloths and hid them. He then went to the rooftop and went to sleep. When his wife woke him up at around 3 am, he went downstairs and told her that some cat must have attacked the girl. The man was booked for murder on Saturday.
