Medical community mourns the death of Dr Saurabh Mathur

Jaipur: Dr. Saurabh Mathur, a highly experienced senior orthopedic surgeon who served as the director at Jeevan Rekha Hospital located in the Jagatpura area, has unfortunately passed away due to a heart attack.

This tragic incident has brought to light once again the immense pressure and stress that medical professionals are subjected to on a daily basis. This is a matter of great concern, as it has been reported that in the past 20 days alone, three other doctors from Jaipur have also lost their lives due to cardiac arrest and related causes.

Dr. Saurabh Mathur was a well-respected figure in the medical community, known for his exceptional skills and dedication towards his profession.

The news of Dr. Mathur’s sudden and tragic death has left the medical community in mourning. He was trusted by thousands of patients whom he treated over the last two decades. The President of the Private Homes and Nursing Homes Society, Dr. Sanjay Arya, expressed his condolences and stated that Dr. Mathur’s loss would be deeply felt by his colleagues, patients, and their families.

Experts have identified several factors that may contribute to such tragedies, including excessive workload, stress, and not getting timely health checks. The demanding nature of the medical profession can take a toll on the physical and mental health of medical professionals, which can be exacerbated by the current pandemic situation.

The loss of Dr. Mathur, along with the other doctors who have passed away in recent weeks, is a stark reminder of the urgent need to address the issue of doctor burnout and mental health in the medical profession. It is crucial that steps are taken to provide better support and resources to medical professionals so that they can continue to serve their patients while also taking care of their own well-being.
