Segway ride at Amber Fort becomes a hit amid complaints of high booking price

Jaipur: Amber Fort in Jaipur is already full of fun activities. Tourists can enjoy elephant safari, jeep safari and several other adventures.
Adding to the list of adventures at Amber Fort and Nahargarh Fort is Segway rides launched at Amber Fort on Wednesday. It became an instant hit among tourists. However many complained of high booking price as Rs 200 are being charged for a round on the fort’s Jaleb Chowk for just 4-5 minutes.
On the first day of the launch on Wednesday, tourists enjoyed free Segway rides.
Currently Rs 1100 are charged for an elephant ride for two people. Tourists can enjoy elephant safari between 7 am and 11 am.
Segway ride will be available for tourists at Amber Fort and Nahargarh Fort from 11 am and 10 am respectively. Tourists can book these rides throughout the day.
At Nahargarh Fort, tourists will be able to go on Segway rides in the parking space.
“The concept of Segway rides is popular at historical monuments across the world. We have also launched it here. A person has to have a minimum weight of 30 kg and a minimum height of 4.5 feet in order to go on Segway ride. We have launched four Segway rides at Amber Fort and two at Nahargarh Fort,” said an Amber Fort official.
