Jaipur: The Rajasthan government has announced that the schools for students of class 9-12 will reopen from September 1. However, the classes will be held on alternative days. Colleges and coaching centres will also be allowed to operate. The attendance has been capped at 50% of the capacity. The students of class 1-8 will continue to attend online classes.

The home department issued the guidelines in this regard on Thursday. The students of class 9-12 will attend the classes on alternative days. They will be required to wear masks and practice social distancing. Morning prayers or similar events will not be organized, according to the guidelines. All the schools have been asked to provide seating capacity and information about the vaccination of teachers and other staff. All the teachers must be fully vaccinated. Taxi, bus, and auto drivers must have received at least one vaccine dose.

If someone is tested positive, the class will not be held for at least 10 days. The school administration will need to rush any student who reports illness to a hospital. A nodal officer will be deputed in each district to ensure compliance with the Covid-19 guidelines.
