School students found dead on railway tracks in Jagatpura; Suicide suspected

Jaipur: A 17-year-old student, identified as Tanmay Bhardwaj, was found dead on railway tracks near Jagatpura CBI railway crossing early on Thursday. Tanmay was a class 11 student of St Anselm’s School in Malviya Nagar. The police are investigating whether he was run over by train accidently or there was some foul play. They, however, have not ruled out the possibility of suicide. Further investigation is going on.

Tanmay was the only son of Arun Bhardwaj, an MR with a drugs manufacturing company. He was in Bengaluru when the body of Tanmay was recovered.

According to police, Tanmay used to go on a walk with his friends. He left early on Wednesday and didn’t turn up. His family members started a search for him. Around 3 am on Thursday, he was found on railway tracks near Jagatpura CBI railway crossing.

A police team rushed to the spot. The family members identified the body. No suicide note has been recovered from the spot.

“Nothing can be said about what actually happened at this point of time, but we have launched an investigation. The body has been handed over to family members after a postmortem examination,” said a police officer.
