Singh was earlier posted as head of the department, Civil Engineering, Delhi Technological University.
JAIPUR: Governor Kalraj Mishra has appointed Professor Santosh Kumar Singh as the vice-chancellor (VC) of Rajasthan Technical University (RTU) Kota. He was earlier posted as head of the department, Civil Engineering, Delhi Technological University.
The VC search committee had recommended a panel of names to the governor after receiving applications from the eligible candidates. Governor Mishra finalised the appointment of Santosh Kumar Singh as the new VC of RTU, Kota.
As many as 158 colleges are affiliated with RTU with nearly 7,250 faculty members and over 1.5 lakh students. The affiliate colleges include 68 engineering colleges, 3 BArch, 16 MCA colleges, 39 MBA colleges, 31 MTech =colleges, 1 MArch and 1 Hotel Management and Catering Institute.
RTU offers a range of undergraduate degree courses including Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.), Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) and Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BHMCT).T
The various post-graduate courses offered by the university include Master of Technology (M.Tech.), Master of Business Administration (MBA), and Master of Computer Applications (MCA).
The university was established in 2006 on the campus of a government engineering college in Kota.
