Sanchore: DSP, SHO among 4 booked in woman constable suicide case
The FIR was registered under IPC sections pertaining to causing a person to commit suicide. The FIR was registered on the basis of a complaint filed by Gita’s brother Ramjivan Bishnoi.

Jaipur: DSP OP Ujjwal, SHO Pushpendra Varma and two other policemen have been booked in connection with the suicide by Gita Bishnoi – a woman constable posted at Sanchore police station in Jalore district. Two other policemen are head constable Omprakash Bishnoi and woman constable Kelam Bishnoi.
The FIR was registered under IPC sections pertaining to causing a person to commit suicide. The FIR was registered on the basis of a complaint filed by Gita’s brother Ramjivan Bishnoi.
The Bishnoi community members staged a protest after it came up that Gita left a suicide note in her cell phone accusing senior police officers and her colleagues of harassment in the name of duty.
She sent a message to her brother on WhatsApp prior to committing suicide by hanging herself in her government quarters. In the message, she said that she was being harassed by SHO and her colleagues.
Senior police officers said that an investigation has been launched into the allegations and further action will be taken if they are found true.
