Sachin Pilot’s divorce from Sara revealed in election affidavit
In the 2018 affidavit, Sara's name was in the wife's column, but now it reads 'Divorced'.

JAIPUR : Former Rajasthan Deputy CM and Congress member, Sachin Pilot, has divorced Sara Pilot, revealed in his recent election affidavit. After nominating himself for the Tonk Assembly seat, Pilot marked ‘Divorced’.
This is the public’s first notice of their separation, with the date of divorce still unclear.
Sachin Pilot’s two children, Aran and Vihaan, are listed as dependents in the affidavit. In the 2018 affidavit, Sara’s name was in the wife’s column, but now it reads ‘Divorced’.
Sara is the daughter of ex-Jammu and Kashmir CM Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah’s sister. The couple wed in January 2004, amidst opposition from the Abdullah family. However, over time, they accepted Pilot as their son-in-law.
Speculation about the couple’s relationship surfaced in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, but was brushed off as rumors. The two met while Sachin studied at the Wharton School in the US. Just months after their wedding, Sachin began his political career, becoming the youngest MP at 26 from Dausa.
