S Ravindra Bhat appointed as new Chief Justice of Rajasthan High Court

Jaipur: Former Delhi High court Justice S Ravindra Bhat has been appointed as the new chief justice of Rajasthan High court.

The decision was taken after the former chief justice of Rajasthan High Court Pradeep Nandrajog was transferred to Bombay High Court. He was sworn in as the Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court on April 7.

Justice Ravindra Bhat was born in 1958 and graduated in law from Campus Law Centre in 1982. He enrolled with Delhi Bar Council the same year. He practiced before the Delhi High Court, Supreme Court, and other judicial fora. He was appointed an Additional judge of Delhi High Court in 2004 and was made permanent judge in 2006.

Former Chief Justice of Rajasthan High Court – Justice Pradeep Nandrajog was sworn in as the Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court on April 7. He succeeded Justice Naresh Patil who retired as Chief Justice of Bombay High Court on April 6.

Maharashtra Governor CH. Vidyasagar Rao administered the oath of office to Justice Pradeep Nandrajog at a brief swearing-in ceremony held at Raj Bhavan in Mumbai.

Justice Nandrajog was born on February 24 in 1958. He obtained his LLB and was enrolled as an Advocate with the Bar Council of Delhi in 1981.

He was elevated as an Additional Judge of the Delhi High Court on December 20 in 2012. He was appointed as Chief Justice of Rajasthan High Court on April 2 in 2017.
