RU’s Project on Online Examination Forms to Be Implemented Soon

Jaipur: The Rajasthan University’s plans to provide the facility of online examination forms have hit many roadblocks, but the project is likely to make some progress now. A Mumbai-based company is scheduled to give the project’s presentation on Friday. The RU administration is in the process of selecting an IT firm to implement the project.
If the project is implemented, the students would be able to fill up examination forms online. The students presently have to collect forms from the RU campuses. Many have to come from far-off places to get examination forms. It also leads to unmanageable crowds on the campuses and huge investment of resources on part of the RU administration.
The project first encountered some technical snags and then the demonetisation affected the implementation, but the RU administration is hopeful that it would get a shot in the arm after the company’s proposed presentation on Friday.
The RU administration said that the vice-chancellor and the heads of various RU department will attend the presentation. After taking a final decision in this regard, the RU may make examination forms available online quite soon.
In a testing phase, the RU administration had made due papers of LLB available online recently. The exam was conducted from November 11, but because it was not properly advertised, it received a lukewarm response.
