RU student leader taken into custody for creating ruckus at petrol pump in Mahesh Nagar

Jaipur: Mahesh Nagar police took a Rajasthan University student leader, identified as Mukesh Choudhary into custody after the video of him and his supporters creating ruckus at a petrol pump went viral on social media. Some employees of the petrol pump situated in Mahesh Nagar were injured after they were allegedly beaten up. The police have launched an investigation.
After a heated argument, the accused men created panic on the premises by recklessly driving around their SUV. The customers and the petrol pump employees are seen running for safety in the video.
The incident took place on Friday, but it came to light on Sunday after the video went viral. Mukesh Choudhary and his supporters allegedly created ruckus over fuel payment. After a heated argument with the petrol pump employees, Choudhary and his supporters started beating them up. They also ransacked the petrol pump properties.
The CCTV installed at the petrol pump captured the entire incident. The footages show Choudhary and his supporters damaging petrol pump. A huge crowd of onlookers gathered at the spot during the incident.
Both the parties – the petrol pump employees and the student leader – have registered complaints with Mahesh Nagar police. Choudhary and some of his supporters were taken into custody for interrogation.
Police officials said that the CCTV footages are being examined. The cops are also recording statements of the petrol pump employees and students. The pump employees who have allegedly sustained injuries were taken to a hospital for a medical examination.
