RU paper leak case: More professors under scanner?
Case of BSC paper leak remain unsolved. The possibility of more professor's involvement not ruled out.
Jaipur: While the special operations group (SOG) on Monday arrested eight men including two RU professors, it seems more Rajasthan University professors may be under scanner.
The arrests were made in connection with four paper leak case, three pertaining to Rajasthan University and one pertaining to Bikaner University. But some more cases of recent paper leaks are still unsolved and they are related to other RU departments.
One of the most recent leaks included physical chemistry paper of Bachelor of Science (BSc) second year. It was a shocking case as the same paper was leaked twice within a week.
The SOG on Monday arrested JP Jat who is the head of geology department, but he was possibly not behind the BSc paper leak. Retired professor BL Gupta had prepared the BA final year geography (first paper). Jat got all the questions from Gupta and leaked the paper, according to SOG officials. JP Jat was also involved in leaking the geology second paper also.
As per the senior SOG officers arrests were made in connection with the four FIRs registered related to the leaks of MCom (Final) paper, BA final geography first paper, BA final geography second paper and MA (previous) SBST paper second paper. The first paper was conducted by the Bikaner University, while the remaining three were conducted by Rajasthan University. Four different cases had been registered in this regard.
So the question as to who leaked the BSc paper is still unanswered.
A senior SOG official said that the case was still open and the investigation is on.
