RU election: NSUI fields Deepak Meena against Sanjay Machedi of ABVP for the post of president

Jaipur: NSUI on Tuesday announced its panel of candidates for the post of president in Rajasthan university (RU) student union elections 2017. NSUI has fielded Deepak Kumar Meena for the post of president against Sanjay Machedi who is the ABVP’s candidate. Manvendra Budania will run for the post of general secretary from NSUI. He will be pitted against Rakesh Yadav of ABVP. NSUI has fielded Mahima Choudhary against NSUI’s Ritu Choudhary for the post of vice-president.

Rajasthan University election: Voting ends with dismal turnout
Sajay Machedi is a Rajput student leader. He has been pitted against a Meena candidate. The Meena community has a strong presence in Rajasthan University. More than 26000 are expected to cast their votes in the elections.
ABVP had announced its panel of candidates on Monday.
Sanjay Machedi will fight for the post of the president, while Ritu Choudhary has been fielded for the post of vice president.
Rakesh Yadav has been chosen to fight for general secretary and Manish Meena will run for the post of joint secretary.
Sanjay Machedi has been the president of Maharaja College student union. A resident of Malpura Machedi near Amber in Jaipur, Sanjay has been active in student politics for the past few years.
